Fort Point State Park

Fort Point State Park occupies a long peninsula with a rocky shore and panoramic views of the Penobscot River and Penobscot Bay. Fort Pownall was established in 1759 at the point of the peninsula
The 120 are park includes Fort Point State Historic Site and the Fort Point Light Station

Fort Knox State Park

Fort Knox is one of largest old forts in the U.S. and the one of the best best preserved forts in New England.

The park has 30 miles of hiking trails & camping area with 107 sites. Also a picnic area, rocky shoreline.
Mount Battie, almost 800 feet high, has beutiful views of Camden and the Maine coast

Vesper Hill Children's Chapel
A gift to the community from Helene Bok in 1960 it is maintained by the Vesper Hill Helene Bok Helen Bok wrote:
"This Chapel is built to the memory of all young people who have passed through this world and gained God by so doing. It stands for freedom of thought, prayer and action. It stands for holiness within the heart and wholesomeness within the body, and for God in the heart each waking hour.
May the Lord bless all young people who come here for spiritual and mental refreshment."
The chapel is very popular for weddings. To make a reservation, contact Merryspring Nature Park in Camden at 236-2239. It is open mid-April to the end of October
